Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

Lounging chairs on the decking provide the perfect place for your morning coffee listening to the birds sing and soak away your stress in the wood fired hot tub then cosy up in front of the log burner and enjoy the tranquility of the woodland.

Abergavenny town is 1.5 miles away. Enjoy a BBQ on the patio in the summer, have your morning coffee relaxing on the balcony or on colder nights cosy up in front of the wood burning stove. It is a perfect spot for walking and exploring the Brecon Beacons - or for relaxing in a beautiful part of the countryside.

Relaxing is easy in Dry Dock Cottage: there’s a cinema snug, roll-top bath and king-size bed. The high-tech gadgetry means that, at the touch of a screen, you can control the heating, close the blinds, dim the lights and play your favourite music. With spectacular views from all four levels, this open-plan former dry dock sits at the very water’s edge. Open the bi-fold glass doors from the lounge area, to get even closer to the ducks and the boats that pass by. Pets are welcome, too.

Farm stay, in beautiful rural Monmouthshire

We are a working dairy goat farm, milking 600 goats twice a day. Our milk goes into a delicious soft goats cheese, which is made in the neighbouring town of Abergavenny and sold through many of the large supermarkets. We are ideally situated for cycling and walking, with many footpaths nearby, including Offa's Dyke and a fabulous range of mountains. We are within 2 miles of the renowned Michelin star Walnut Tree Inn and there are many other wonderful country pubs in the locality.

Our stylish & cosy hideaway is the ultimate escape where you can re-wild yourself in acres of tranquility. Wander straight out the door onto the mountains taking in some breathtaking views. Return home to the sauna, soothe tired limbs & then relax by spinning some vinyl from the record collection, whilst the log burner crackles & the owls enthusiastically serenade as dusk sets in! (plus we now have an indoor padel ball court for you to exercise your inner Federer!!)

A beautiful grade II listed cottage with original features in the Brecon Beacons National Park. It sleeps 4 with two bedrooms and a shared Jack and Jill bathroom complete with complimentary Bramley products. Black Mountains Hideaway

PERFECT FOR LOVERS OF NATURE AND RUGGED WALKS. 850 feet up in the Black Mountains, the Hideaway is tucked behind yet private from our 300 year old family farmhouse. Once you have spent the day walking, biking or riding you can light a fire in the woodburner and curl up with a book or ease into the freestanding bath in your bedroom. The entire apartment has been newly renovated, and enjoys wonderful views of the hills and mountains of Abergavenny. There is private parking and safe space inside to store bikes. Hen Ty (meaning old house) is a cosy cottage with modern comfort ( please note that the woodburner is not useable but there is full central heating) It sits in a quiet rural location and is conveniently located for walking, cycling. Four miles away is the market town of Abergavenny, which has a variety of restaurants, cafes and shops.
