Casita for two in the valley at BASECAMP 550

Stay in one of our cozy Casitas (tiny houses) that accommodate two people and are situated among a few others at our eclectic campground in the valley between Ridgway and Ouray Colorado. These tiny homes have a small footprint of 250 square feet but feel much larger due to the high vaulted ceilings. They are stocked with your everyday necessities such as linens, cooking basics and showering facilities. We have cleverly designed them to maximize space and hope you enjoy the loft views!

The studio is conveniently located in town within a few blocks of restaurants, parks, river, shops, and walking trails. Ride your bike to the RAT trails or drive 2 miles to Orvis Hot Springs to soak after skiing or hiking all day. The home is 40 miles from Telluride Ski Resort, 15 minutes from Ouray, and less than 6 miles from Top of the Pines nature preserve. Our contemporary cabin is located 10 minutes (6 miles) from the town of Telluride. We are 2.7 miles form the Town of Mountain Village Gondola parking structure. The Gondola is a fun, free ride to town. There is also an extensive trail system for hiking, biking and running that can be accessed from within the neighborhood( maps in binder) Please read this before requesting to book, ESPECIALLY if booking during winter months (Nov-April)our property may not be for everyone...

Nestled against the majestic San Juan Mountains, this beautiful retreat within walking distance to the heart of Ouray provides an escape with the convenience of access, yet the comfort of solitude. The main level of the 2 story townhouse has a living room with gas fireplace, TV, WiFi, dining room, kitchen, a half bath and a laundry room. Upstairs has three bedrooms and one full bath. This is for the south unit, not the unit above the garage which has long term residents.
