This rustic, solar cabin has it's own private hiking trail(100m, steep hill) and private parking area. The trail winds it's way up to your private view overlooking Golden Lake. You will feel tucked away in this cozy spot surrounded by mixed oak forest, sitting atop Canadian Shield rock formations. Welcome to The Rustic Escape Farm Retreat where time is spent refreshing the mind in the great outdoors. Our off grid eco friendly stargazing dome is hidden amongst the forest on 83 acres of breath taking views. Take a stroll on our groomed trails or come up and visit our hobby farm with highland cows, sheep and alpacas. In the summer to fall add a unique date night experience watching a movie with the cows. Peace, nature and a little animal therapy is what everyone needs to experience.

For the summer season, from June 14 to September 5, only reservations for the week(s) will be accepted with arrival on Monday and departure on Sunday. Fully equipped 4-season chalet with; balcony terrace, screened-in veranda, dock, canoes, pedal boat, kayak, rowboat and trout fishing. A small henhouse with its little chickens will offer you eggs for your breakfast.

We are farmers, a precise time of arrival is important. You are welcome to visit the farm.

The Guest House

Our guest house is a cozy log cabin with three floors. It is the original homesteader cabin to our property, revived and restored with care. Nestled in the Bonnechere region of Renfrew County, this magical place of solitude offers nature right outside your door. Local paintings by Ottawa Valley landscape artist Angela St. Jean displayed throughout the cabin feature lakes, rivers, and natural places and spaces that surround us.
