La Maison Self-Catering Cottage

Waterval family farm cottage

The secluded bush cottage is the only dwelling built within a nature conservancy, consisting of two main rooms. The layout is perfect for a large family, couples or close-knit friends. Wildlife like reedbuck and kudu are often spotted from the bedroom windows or porch. Birdlife like the Verreaux's eagle and fiery-necked nightjar are often spotted. The self-catering cottage is fully-equipped and run completely off-the-grid with solar power, a gas oven and hob and a solar-powered water geyser.

Mistkraal Lodge (Karoo Gem)

This unique and secluded self-catering lodge is the perfect Karoo getaway for families who enjoy nature and want that true Karoo experience. Koelfontein is a working farm 32km from Cradock. Accommodation is in the main farm house and an outside cottage. There is a swimming pool and a large garden. It is situated in a relatively remote area and is perfect for walks, mountain biking and bird watching. There is a large dam on which you can canoe when it is full. Numerous animal species inhabit the farm and are regularly seen, including kudu, Mountain Reedbuck, steenbok, duiker and springbok. You will have the house to yourself.
