Usnea, our Nature, Art and Accommodation Space, is situated on the Evelyn Tablelands, Tropical North Qld. Here a fully self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. Uniquely the cottage integrates art within and outside. Contemplation, inspiration, privacy and comfort, are all to be experienced, along with exploring our forest and local environmental and historical features.

The outdoor firepit & bbq makes it the perfect spot to relax with platypus sighting & occasional Tree Kangaroo visit. Property has direct access to the river for a lazy arvo.

The slow monday sits on the edge of protected forest (a cassowary corridor) just a stroll from the beach. A modern take on the classic Australian beach shack, the house is designed for the Queensland tropics. There are two pavilions, one for living and the other for sleeping, all with large glass sliding doors that open up to let the environment in.

Church House - Townsville home with a twist

Welcome to Church House. A recently renovated 1920's Baptist Church for you to call your own. The apartment is at the rear of the Church proper (which now houses an architectural design studio). You have your own private entrance exclusively for ChurchHouse. Thick brick walls separate the apartment from the office and ensure peace and quiet during your stay. Our inner-city location means that you will hear some traffic noise - ear plugs are available upon request should you require.

The Cubby Luxury Nature Retre

From the modern luxurious interior, you can soak up nature at its finest. The platypus, other waterlife and birdlife are visible from the breakfast / cocktail bar as well as from the bathtub or outdoor shower. The biggest decision you will need to make is which vantage point to enjoy. Maggie A-frame is a beautiful wooden A-frame house situated in Horseshoe Bay on tropical Magnetic Island. The island itself is within the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, easily located by a short ferry ride from Townsville, Queensland. Surrounded by palm trees and mango trees, Maggie A-frame houses five lucky guests – with a hammock and a private garden filled with birds and tropical plants.

FNQ Blooms Tropical Flower Farm Lodge

Our Tropical Flower Farm is a 52-acre property situated at the foothills of Mt Bartle about one hour drive south of the Cairns International Airport. We grow an extensive variety of tropical Heliconia and Ginger for use in the Australian Cut Flower market. Our farm is completely self-sustainable. We have a waterfall that generates our power through Hydroelectricity and gravity-fed water from a natural spring.
