Recently converted, the Owlery is the perfect self-catered rural escape for couples. With its double height vaulted ceiling and full height double aspect windows the open plan kitchen living diner offers a light and airy space to unwind and enjoy the view of surrounding fields. Off the main street in the small historic village of Linton-on-Ouse which lies close to the national trust property of Beningborugh Hall and within 30 mins drive of York, Harrogate, Knaresborough and Ripon. The area provides open countryside which is popular with cyclists and walkers. “Fig Tree Cottage” is a recently completed conversion project finished to a high modern standard providing quality accommodation. There are a couple of pubs and the Lock House Pub serves food and takeaways.

This private annexe at Gowlands Farm House is located just off the A59, 8 miles from York and 14 miles from Harrogate, it makes an ideal base for visiting the nearby towns, cities and countryside that North Yorkshire has to offer. York Park and Ride is located 5 miles away. The North York Moors and Coast, together with the Dales, are accessible as an alternative day out. The brick-built annexe is detached from the main house allowing privacy and a large garden area for dogs to enjoy.

Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 3 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.

It sits in the Vale of York, between York and Harrogate with the Dales and Moors of North Yorkshire nearby. Great local pubs and restaurants serving excellent food and a supermarket/shops a short drive away.

Glamping Pod nr York : Private wood fired hot tub

Our lovely wooden glamping pod has a comfortable double bed and we can offer a camp bed for an additional guest . Bedding and towels are provided . The pod has electric and is heated by it's own little woodburner . The Glamping pod has a private wood fired Spa hot tub. There is a private composting toilet and shower , in addition the luxury showers and toilets are close by. The pod is situated close to the field where the farm animals graze.

There are public footpaths to explore from the site as well as cycle routes taking you to nearby villages.
