The Historic Garden Cottage

An historic free-standing building on our 12 acre property "Claremont" (c.1857), the Garden Cottage has been fully renovated to offer a unique place to stay in beautiful, peaceful and historic surroundings. The accommodation is totally private, with a queen bed, en suite bathroom and basic food preparation facilities (fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle). It has a split system for heating and cooling. The Garden Cottage is approx. 3.4 km to the heart of Castlemaine township, and is only a short walk to the lovely Botanical Gardens.

Newly renovated Stables in historic Castlemaine offers an opportunity to escape for a weekend or more! The space: recently renovated, living room & fireplace, gas stove kitchen (no oven) with all you need to consume delicious local produce, lofted bedroom & beautiful bathroom. The Stables is set within a beautiful cottage garden and large gum tree surrounds. Our guest suite very comfortably sleeps four and includes a lounge room, a well-equipped kitchenette and access to a communal full kitchen. Views extend across the ecovillage property to the surrounding bush. The centre of town, including the Castlemaine train station and a fantastic selection of cafes, restaurants and cultural attractions, is just a 15-minute walk.

Union House c.1861

Union House is a unique part of Castlemaine's history. Built in the early 1860's in the central area of the town, it is a minutes walk from all the town's attractions- the galleries, restaurants, hotels, theatre, boutiques, supermarket, and easy walking distance to the gardens, regional parks, railway station, and the Woollen Mill complex. The cottage has been recently renovated to amalgamate its historic features with contemporary comforts and luxurious appointments.

Fryers Hut

Set in the peaceful bushland of Fryerstown, Fryers hut is only 10 minutes from Castlemaine, 30 minutes from Daylesford and 5 minutes from Vaughan Springs. Excellent walking and mountain bike riding are at your doorstep or just relax at the hut and enjoy the garden, pool and sauna. In the heart of the Goldfields region there is plenty to explore including outdoor activities, the arts, festivals, historical sites and great cafes, restaurants and wineries.
