Nestled in a small valley, this quaint cabin is a perfect mountain getaway. Built in 1890, by the Lakes family, it has a romantic, rustic and nostalgic feel. If you are a history buff, interested in Appalachian culture, or just want a charming, outdoorsy and secluded getaway, this cabin is for you. Called “Slipper Rock” in memory of Bessie Lakes, an elderly lady that lived on farm many years ago. She could be heard laughing while playing in the stream that runs by the cabin. She called the stream “Slipper Rock”. The newly built cabin sits on 15 acres. Numerous hiking trails & horseback riding trails. Some trails in Daniel Boone National Forest. Bring your own horses. Relax sitting on porch, by fire pit or on rocks by stream. Nothing prettier than the night sky. Hope to see you all soon.

McKee City Getaway, The Elizabeth

This apartment is in the center of downtown McKee near the intersection of Highway 421 and Hwy 89 North. A very small town with one stoplight. There are 14 steps up to the entrance of the apartment and the front door has a digital lock. Approximately 600 square feet with 2 bed rooms, one private and the other semi-private. This apartment has a kitchen with full stove, refrigerator, washer, and dryer. This apartment his somewhat historical in the community having been built in the late 1940s.

The Cabin on Panther Branch is a perfect place to come fish and kayak on the creek. Bring your ATV’s, side by side or dirt bikes and enjoy miles and miles of riding in S-Tree Tower in the Daniel Boone National Forest. We don’t think you will be disappointed with your stay.
