Bohemian Firehouse-an authentic 1916 Firehouse

The Bohemian Firehouse was the living quarters for the men stationed there when it was built in 1916. It sits above a retail space which housed the firetruck. The charming brick building is in near original condition, despite surviving a major flood and a derecho. You'll love the gorgeous woodwork, vintage tile and light fixtures. But you'll appreciate some modern touches like air conditioning, an updated kitchen and smart tv. Still, it's easy to imagine the stories these walls could tell.

Our place is close to everything! A 5-10 minute drive to just about anything in town. Newbo District and downtown are 5 min by car and 15 min on a bike. The bike path is 1/2 mile from the house and easily accessible. You will enjoy the quiet wooded location of this completely renovated "cozy" 500 Sq. Ft. one bedroom cottage. Grant Wood House 1 mi to 380 & 2 mi to downtown

Warm and cozy is the best way to describe this little house. Everything you need for a comfy stay. 2 queen beds. 2 full baths. The bathroom on the main floor is small and the one in the basement is a shower and a toilet. Nothing special but it gets the job done. There is a sink down there as well. Just relax and enjoy the large smart TV with lots of channels to watch. Fireplace is for looks only. Do Not use. Mt. Mercy complex is to the back of the house.
