The second floor includes a formal sitting room with large windows overlooking the town's main street, one bedroom has a queen sized bed There is a large bathroom with a modern walk in shower. The third floor where you will find two additional bedrooms with full sized beds.

The Shanty at Blue Mountain

The Shanty is a one room cottage for a weekend get-away, a short to long-term work assignment or the perfect spot for creative work like composing or writing. It is three miles from access to the Appalachian Trail and is an ideal respite for thru hikers. It is only 30 minutes to Blue Mountain Ski Resort. A small suite located above the town of Jim Thorpe. I am really geared towards couples looking for a weekend getaway. The space is smaller but very easily accomadates two people. A big step up from any hotel room/suite. The rental is not located in the town of Jim Thorpe. I am located about 10 minutes outside of town and about 5 minutes away from Penns Peak. The rental is connected to home but completely seperate.
