It is in a perfectly central location for exploring Scotland - 15 mins from Perth and an hour's drive from Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews, 2 miles from Auchterarder and only 4 miles from the world famous Gleneagles Hotel. Golfing, Fishing , Kayaking round the Cliffs and Walking, are plentiful in and around the area with Carnoustie Golf Links a 15 minute drive. Bus and Train Station in town for those who want to venture further.

It's a short walk from the fine Renaissance Falkland Palace, the heart of the medieval village with its independent shops, cafes restaurants and pub. There is great walking in the Lomond hills, accessible on foot. The wonderful Covenanter has fantastic food all day; the Hayloft and Pillars of Hercules are lovely cafes. Fine dining at the Boar's Head in nearby Auchtermuchty.
