House is not on the lake but only a two min walk away. Private dock with stairs into the water included. Serenity awaits!

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cottage in Posen near Alpena and Lake Huron. The cabin sits on a private 3 acre lake across from our farmhouse.. You are free to roam our 33 acres of farmland and forests. It literally is a dream and the air is so fresh. There is a fire pit for nightly fires while you watch for shooting stars. Bring your kayaks and paddle boards for daytime activities on the lake, including swimming.

This modern rustic Up North cabin that offers 120 feet on the Thunder bay river! Cabin is located on a private Rd. which gives you the true Up North feel but is only a 15 minute drive to Alpena! Enjoy fishing, kayaking, tubing, swimming as well as hikes on the nearby state land! Property has it's own boat launch, fire pit and also 6 kayaks (4 adult and 2 kids) for you to use! Whether you're looking to kayak, fish, swim, or simply relax by the water, our cabin has it. In the summer months we do have an additional room in the cabin with a queen size bed and 4 Kayaks for your use.

Hillman is centrally located for taking many day trips in Northern Lower Michigan, or just stay in Hillman and enjoy the many lakes for swimming and fishing, areas for hunting, snowmobile trails, and RV trails. We have a large driveway that will accommodate trailers for your outdoor fun.
