Hidden away on a beautiful private estate in the Scottish Borders, Garden Cottage is a charming stone retreat for up to four guests. From the doorstep, you can join scenic trails and connect to the Southern Upland Way. Enjoy tennis, fishing, and easy access to Glentress Mountain Biking Centre, or take a short train ride into Edinburgh for a day in the city.

The Hemmel, Old Town Farm

Lovingly converted, pet friendly barn set on a working farm with fantastic views across the Rede valley. Open plan living/kitchen area with log burning stove and flooded with natural light. A recent addition are daily visits from our local red squirrels. Spacious and modern with underfloor heating. Tastefully furnished and decorated with bathroom featuring a walk -in shower. The wood fired hot tub takes in the breathtaking views - no other property insight. Amazing walks/biking/wild swimming on the doorstep. Outdoor dining & firepit / BBQ

Dog- friendly cottage with woodburner & games room

Ivy Cottage is the perfect size for 2, although it can accommodate up to 4. Ideal location, for cycling, walking, fishing and playing golf. There are dog-friendly pubs and cafes within walking distance, as well as a good selection of shops. We have an onsite games room, free for our guests to enjoy. We can accommodate 1 large or 2 small pets, however, please note, we do not have have a secure garden area. The cottage has many wonderful walks right on the doorstep for you to explore.

Peaceful Detached Home with Northumbrian Views

Charlton Gate is an imposing two bedroomed, two bathroom detached Northumbrian Stone House set within the Newton Estate and surrounded by private gardens and stunning views. The house is a perfectly placed to explore the Northumberland National Dark Sky Park and Kielder Water, just 20 minutes away. The Boe Rigg restaurant and bar is a 10-minute stroll away and a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants can be found in the traditional market town of Bellingham just two miles away.

Larriston Coach House, for a very rural stay

Larriston Coach House is a large four-bedroomed cottage, part of a very rural 19th century farm steading on 28 acres, with 2,500 acres of hillside starting at the doorstep. It's right on the Scottish Border, close to Kielder and Newcastleton (both five miles away), and ideal for visiting Kielder observatory, Kielder Forest, the Borders or north Northumberland. There’s plenty of space, inside and out. The skies are dark, the mobile reception is zero and the silence is deafening.

The Old Bottle Store is a cosy & quaint cottage tucked away behind our pub The Blackcock Inn at Falstone. Just a mile away from Kielder Reservoir we're a brilliant base for a stay in beautiful Northumberland. Amenities include a wood burning stove, kitchen (fridge, freezer, hob oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, Tassimo coffee machine), wide-screen TV, comfy sofa and armchairs, dining area, double bed, velux window in the bedroom for stargazing & en-suite bathroom with shower.

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

Looking for a peaceful, secluded stay, immersed in nature, with spectacular views and no neighbours? This is the place for you. Sitting completely on its own at the edge of the moors, The View is a modern, off-grid cabin that offers total tranquillity. Nestled away in the hills, gazing out over the Cheviots, this a truly unique space. Head out hill walking by day, then return to relax by the roaring fire. When night falls, soak in the silence and gaze up at the stars.

Delightful off grid shepherds hut with hot tub

Built from scratch by none other than the owners themselves, the dog-friendly Tweedenburn Shepherd's Hut is more than just a labour of love; it’s also a completely off-grid hut powered by solar panels and in an excellent spot for exploring the Scottish Borders. When you’re ready for a kip, there’s a comfortable double bed for two inside the hut. Complete with a woodburning stove. Firepit/ barbecue and gas hob provided in the outdoor kitchen. All utensils provided.

Welcome to SHEP – your cosy shepherd’s hut on a vintage military lorry, nestled along an old railway line on our family farm in the Scottish Borders. Snuggle up by the wood-burning stove in winter or throw open the French doors for a summer BBQ. Ideal for couples, families or solo stays. Optional wood-fired hot tub – £70 per stay (please book in advance). Pre-light service can be requested but is not always available. Extra logs can be purchased for £15 per bag.
