As you arrive, you will be welcomed by the Japanese garden, where you can see the beautiful Japanese red maple in autumn time. The small house that was built about 70 years ago was now reborn as Mt. FUJI BASE HOSTEL SAMURISE KURA -蔵-, and has been welcoming guests from all over the world since 2017. We respected and maintained the traditional Japanese style in the process of refurbishment, so you could enjoy and experience the traditional Japanese housing. We offer 4 different types rooms [Ume(梅) Momiji(椛) Sakura(桜) Tsubaki(椿)] depending on the group size (a child counted as 1 person, only aged 6 and up acceptable). We can keep your luggage free of charge before you check-in and after check-out. We also do a bicycle hire, which is very convenient for cycling around Lake Kawaguchi looking over Mt. Samurise Mt.Fuji 【Bunk Bed】(共用トイレ・シャワールーム)

This is a newly refurbished modern Japanese style hostel in Kawaguchiko. The Twin Room (room size 6.6㎡) has the bunk bed for the maximum of 2 people. It is located about 10 minutes away on foot from Kawaguchiko station. We provide the following amenities: shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hairdryer, clothing hangers, Wi-Fi, laundry machines and car park. There is an air conditioner in each room. The members of staff are also here to help you with any tourist information!

Japanese Private Room with Toilet Max 3 people

This washitsu* has a Japanese low table and zabutons* on tatami* flooring. You sleep on futons* laid on the tatami, and you can sit directly on the tatami or zabutons set on it. Toilet is inside the room. All of our rooms are non-smoking ones. There is no TV in the room. Washitsu*: Japanese style room Zabuton*: Japanese cushion tatami*: Thick straw mats that cover the floor futon*: Traditional Japanese bedding consisting of padded mattresses and pliable quilts.

The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji.
