Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

当コテージは清流、円原川のほとりにあります。 岐阜といえば白川郷や飛騨高山が有名ですが、円原も山奥で不便な場所ではありますが素敵です。 山と川の景観が美しく、猿や鹿が出没するような自然豊かな場所です。 円原川は日本一美しい伏流水、光芒の名所として注目されており、宿は伏流水の湧き水ポイントから８００ｍ程の場所に位置していますので水の透明度は抜群です。 光芒も宿から見ることが出来ます。 夏の朝、気象条件により木々の間から太陽の光が降り注ぐ幻想的な景色を見られます。 円原川の水は冷たいですが、夏に子供たちは元気に川遊びしています。 河原は気温が随分下がるので、猛暑を逃れ涼む人も。 少し下流にいくと川遊びスポットがいくつかあり、どこも水が透き通っていて美しく泳ぐのが気持ち良いです。 川の水は少し深いところではエメラルドグリーンに輝き、岩と苔の景観も素晴らしく、心が浄化されるような癒しスポットです。 宿の2階に川に面したデッキがあるので、川を眺めながらBBQしたり、川のせせらぎを聴きながらハンモックに揺られたり、テントサウナでリフレッシュしたり日常を忘れてのんびりできます。

A　rustic Japanese village getaway

Experience a stay in a traditional Japanese house, tucked inside the forested mountains of the Yoshino Valley. This converted farmhouse is located in Kawakami Village, the source of the Yoshino/Kino river. OHANA is a private seaside cottage on Naoshima, known as a sacred place of contemporary art. There are two cottages, sea side and mountain side; Lani is the mountain-side cottage. Free parking is available on site. The cottage accommodates 6–8 guests and includes a kitchen and washing machine. It is a 3-minute walk to the Yellow Pumpkin and 2 minutes to the bus stop. Ocean View Retreat in a Quiet Fishing Village

This is a private, whole-house guesthouse located in the quiet fishing village of Nigishima, Kumano City, Mie Prefecture. On the way to Nigishima, you’ll be greeted by the deep blue ocean known as “Kumano Blue,” and the house sits overlooking the calm waters of Nigishima Bay. To reach the house, you will need to climb approximately 50 steps (about a 5-minute walk), but a beautiful view and peaceful atmosphere await you at the top.

And easy to get to Koya-san (40 min by a car)
