Bright and cheery in the bedrooms best suited for 2-4 adults or family with children. Wonderful sound of the river throughout the property. Step outside to hundreds of miles of biking and hiking trails, and stocked lakes and streams. Well maintained paved state road to cabin driveway. The house is 20 minutes West of Harrisonburg VA and JMU.

BEAUTIFULLY REMODELED and only 15 minutes away from Elkins, West Virginia, where you can find the Gandy Dancer Theatre, Durbin and Greenbrier Valley Rail Road, and lots of fine dining. We are also about 20 minutes away from either Stuart's Park, or Kumbrabow State Park. You can hit the ski slopes of Snowshoe in about 45 minutes. Our house is very cozy, and our kitchen is fully furnished with everything you will need. From the coffee maker to pots & pans, we think you'll feel right at home.

Nestled between WV's highest peaks & within minutes of our country’s best fishing, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, biking, skiing, hunting, Civil War Sites, & historic trains, River House is a perfect base for all WV has to offer.

The cottage in the woods is the perfect place to relax and unwind, or use as a base to explore the more than 20 attractions just a day trip away! Stay in the masterfully crafted Lemuel Chenoweth homestead along the rippling Tygart river. Built in 1857, this 2nd floor suite offers antiques furnishings, a private entrance, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and mud room. It has a queen bed, dresser, large porch with views of the river, a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, toilet, and a well stocked farmhouse kitchenette with a double induction cook top, sink , fridge and more. We do not offer a TV. Near Elkins.

Dandy Flats - The Nonchalant
