The Tarka Suite

We live in a quiet location situated on the outskirts of Barnstaple, tucked away in a quiet residential area. Nearest amenities are approx 15 min walk. “The Tarka suite”is made up of 3 seperate rooms plus a covered garden room with electric points. There is a king sized bed, 2 seater sofa, a small dining area and small well equipped kitchen area which includes a std fridge, a ninja twin drawer acti fry and single hob. Crockery, pans and cutlery are provided. Use of hot tub at extra cost.

Bus station a 5 minute walk & train station 15 minute. An 8 minute drive to the hospital also. It is suitable for four people maximum, the Queen bed splits to make twin beds upon request in the first bedroom. The Hide - cosy rural cottage

The Hide is a tranquil getaway, tucked into the corner of Lemons Farm, our 15th Century thatched farmhouse. Originally a piggery, the cob and stone building has been converted into a little cottage with a living area, kitchenette, bathroom and mezzanine sleeping area. Fall asleep under the stars and wake to the sound of birdsong. Lemons Farm is located in Atherington, a lovely village with a church, tennis court and park. Some great pubs are nearby as are the gorgeous North Devon beaches.

You will be staying in a beautiful green oak outbuilding with 4 dormer windows and a glass gable end offering delightful Devon countryside views. Access is via a private door into the front of the building. From the upstairs living area, a door leads to your own private garden. There is a decking area with a bench and table for outside dining and a barbecue in season. There is a wooden gazebo at the top of the garden also with a table and seating for outside dining with more lovely views.

We are less than 5 minutes drive/cycle from Barnstaple town centre and only 2 minutes from the A361 (North Devon Link Road), with easy access from the M5. There are cycle and footpaths at the end of the road giving off road access to the Tarka Trail.

Come and stay in our cosy off-grid Shepherd's Hut. It's in a peaceful, rural location, next to our woodland and orchard, with fantastic views over the river valley and beyond. We are near world-renowned surf beaches and there are excellent walks both by the sea or further afield on Exmoor. Otherwise, you could just put your feet up, relax and admire the view! Originally a threshing barn, but recently converted by the owners into a modern space which respectfully retains the character and proportions of the original barn.
