Upton Hill Cottage | A peaceful escape

Upton Hill Cottage is self-catering farm-stay accommodation 16km into the Strathbogie Ranges from Avenel. It is surrounded by vineyards, cherry orchards, farmland & replanted & remnant bush. At 475m ASL the cottage has panoramic views of the ranges & Goulburn Valley. Guests can meet the animals, ramble, birdwatch, cycle, observe native flora & fauna, fish, do scenic tours, marvel at the ancient granite formations of the unique Strathbogie batholith, & enjoy local wineries, music & restaurants.

Macedon Ranges Wilimee Vineyard Cottage

Leave the city behind for the peace & quiet of this secluded vineyard escape with a wood heater, morning sun and bush views. You'll have a private separate dwelling with a sun filled kitchen, benchseats, large bedroom with wood heater & vineyard views. A bunk nook accomodates two kids (bed length 160cm) whilst the space remains super cosy & european in feel. Sit in the courtyard & relax whilst the bbq cooks up a feast. Wine available. This cottage is best suited for families or 2 adults.

Hide & Seek Glamping Hut 1

NO GUEST FEE APPLIED. Hide and Seek Glamping Huts are unique, custom-designed, tiny houses made on-site at Hide and Seek Retreat. Designed to take you back to nature without sacrificing luxury, they have a private ensuite, mini fridge, heating/cooling, tv and bbq. Features include openable side walls and a clear panel of roofing for star gazing from your king size bed. Located in beside the river and a beach, the huts are surrounded by wide areas of grassy and treed outlooks on a river bank.

Relax on 20 acres of trees and granite boulders, enjoy the wildlife that inhabit our space, go for long walks along the local streams. Your retreat is separate from the main house. Watch the sunrise and enjoy the mists as they form in the local valley. 50 minutes north of Tullamarine airport with both the Macedon Ranges and Heathcote wineries close by. Queen size bed, modern furnishings, a functional kitchen, BBQ facilities and good wifi will ensure a comfortable stay at any time of the year.

The Ruffled Rooster

A cosy unit that has everything you need but it's the seclusion shared with an olive grove ,sheep and poultry that is what makes this place unique. A true nature experience . Situated midway between Melbourne and Sydney it is ideal stop over. Ideally located to the snow, wineries, gourme region, lakes or for just chilling. You’ll love this 133 acre pet friendly working farm located on the bank of the Campaspe River. After a cooked breakfast, wander in the gardens, feed the goats, sheep, chickens and ducks , or stroll along the river banks. The river is full of fish if fishing is your thing. We are only 5kms from Heathcote Raceway, minutes from Knowsley Flight School and we are the half way point on the O’Keefe Rail trail. We are also only 20 minutes from Bendigo & Heathcote & 15kms to Lake Eppalock

In summer, float down the river in a blow-up tube and on cool nights put your feet up by the wood fire or have a sauna by the river. THIS IS A 2 BEDROOM house which sleeps 6ppl (Entire home). An EXTRA 4 ppl can be accommodated externally to the main house. The A frame hut sleeps two (unheated). An additional 2pp riverside bungalow room with french doors and it’s own deck by the river. Cortes Cabin

Welcome to ‘Cortes Stays’. Newly built off-grid cabin nestled by the Ovens River on our 100 year old Walnut Grove. Bathe outside in the outdoor bath, or use the purpose built steps that will take you down to the river's edge. Wander around the farm and over to another swimming spot, where you’ll find kayaks and a canoe for you to use. A large window at the end of the bed allows you to stargaze at night or watch the water flow by as you rest and charge your batteries.
