Over 150 years later, Mr. Owens, a successful RJR tobacco executive, built the house at 416 South Main Street in Winston-Salem for his family. In 1930-31 he gave the property to the Moravian Church. The Church divided the large house into Upstairs and Downstairs apartments used until 2017 by missionary families and by other friends of the Church.
