Secluded, quiet and peaceful, Port Moluag is within easy reach of the Scottish mainland whilst feeling totally removed from the pace and noise of city life. Situtated in the heart of the ancient kingdom of Dalriada, at the foot of Dunadd hill, once the seat of the first kings of Scotland and metres away from the idyllic river Add, and Moine Mhor nature reserve. Enjoy peaceful walks along the river bank, Crinan canal and beach overlooking the isles of Jura and Scarba and the infamous Corryvreachan whirl pool. Explore the ancient site of Dunadd fort and visit Kilmartin Museum.

Maida's cottage is situated on the edge of the village of Ford, close to Loch Ederline. There is a private driveway to the cottage with a farm gate to keep the sheep on the hill. There is ample parking and a gated/fenced private garden. Although on the edge of the village, Maida's cottage feels remote with a rather stunning backdrop. There are many hills to walk. There is no TV or WiFi, this is a cosy getaway from hectic lives so sit back and enjoy the log fire with a good book.
