It is slightly quieter here than in the heart of the town but is still only a 5 minute walk into the centre. It is very easy to access the river walks, simply taking the path to the right of the church. Flagstone Cottage has a lovely open fireplace and is on a quiet remote farm in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Wonderful mountain views from the cottage. There are miles of footpaths in these uncrowded hills, the only sounds are birds and sheep. Two pubs are in walking distance: The historic Llanthony Priory Cellar bar which serves delicious home made food from Tuesday evening until Sunday. and the welcoming Half Moon Hotel - good beer and great for walkers and dog owners.
