The house is located in the quiet mountain neighborhood of Meadow View Estates but only about 10-12 min from the charming downtown of Franklin, North Carolina with plenty of activities to keep you and the family busy. The entire upper level is yours with its own private entrance. Access requires steps. Parking is the only shared space since the lower level has a permanent resident. Welcome to life in the mountains!

The Extra House

We have a comfortable Extra House we call it. Extra cozy extra cute Extra House. The house is right on the Tallulah River in Towns County. There is fishing/swimming hole about 100 ' up river and a waterfall up a trail behind the Big House about a 30 minute hike up and back. Longer if you jump in the falls. Trout fishing out the door and 6 miles of fishing along the main road. We have a 250' zipline into a swiming pond or get off before the water. Lots of hiking trails and waterfalls.

Waterfall Views, Lake Hartwell, Highland Architect

Come and enjoy nature with 100+ acres to roam. Architect James Fox designed this cantilevered cliffside home overlooking a beautiful waterfall. Feel like you are in the trees, in an area much as it was when inhabited by Cherokee Indians. Stream feeds into Lake Hartwell. In the summer months on the weekends and holidays kayaks, jet skis and small boats visit the falls. This property is in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
