It has many amenities including the Little Birch A-Frame playhouse for the kids and an outdoor firepit. The River Birch is just a 20 minute drive to Alpine Valley for snow skiing and summer concerts! Welcome to The Hideaway, an eight-acre luxury log retreat near Whitewater Lake and Kettle Moraine State Park, offering year-round access to scenic parks and hiking. Inside, enjoy a 16-foot shuffleboard table, foosball, air hockey, ping pong, and a private home theater. Camp Wandawega: Lakeside 3 Bedroom Cabin

Overlooking the lake nestled right behind the main lodge, this cabin has 3 bedrooms, a half bathroom, a seating a room, a basic kitchenette & access to camp showers downstairs. One large bedroom has a queen bed, one room with bunkbeds, & one with a full bed to accommodate a max of 6 guests. (But the bunkbeds are best for kid-sized humans). Like all of Wandawega, it’s a back-to-basics, no-frills, primitive experience. Simple rooms, vintage furnishings. There is heat & a couple AC window units.

We are lovers of "Lake Life" and want to share our experiences of Turtle Lake with others who love tranquility and time to reflect, but also want to hike at the Kettle Morraine State Forest, enjoy camp fires, tour local historic towns such as Lake Geneva and other sites, fish (including the best ice fishing in the area!), canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming, reading, and simply enjoying conversations with friends and family. We recently remodeled the kitchen, bathroom and 2 lower bedrooms.

It’s close to Walworth County fair grounds where the flea market, Das Fest and Rib Fest are held. This is country living with plenty of opportunity to enjoy the beautiful outdoors or the peace and quiet of the countryside.
