Carr Cottage is a characterful 19th century mill workers' dwelling situated in the heart of the Pennines in the beautiful Luddenden Valley with a multitude of walks and footpaths. Close to Halifax and its historic Piece Hall or Hebden Bridge with its vibrant arts and crafts scene. We are dog friendly with excellent walks for dogs and their people. Dogs must not be left unattended on the during your stay. Carr Cottage is cycle friendly with classic road or off road routes right rom the doorstep.

Centrally located, yet peacefully quiet, just 2 mins walk from the top of the cobbled Main Street with its quirky independent shops, galleries, cafes and pubs. Located a 2 minute walk to Hebden Bridge Train Station. Two car parks within a couple of minute walk from the property free overnight between 8pm- 8am. There is also free on street parking a couple of minute walk from the property on Burnley road, the same road as the property.

2 Saw Hill is the perfect retreat for anyone wanting to delve into the beautiful countryside of West Yorkshire. This self catering home is located around lovely walks, close to local pubs and restaurants. Although surrounded by spectacular views the train station in Sowerby Bridge is a 5 min car journey away to reach further destinations including Manchester or Leeds. The hosts live next door and are available if needed.

It is self contained with one spacious bedroom which has a very comfortable double bed and a pull out sofa bed. We are close to Dewsbury Hospital with easy access to Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield. M1 and M62 motorway links. We have made the cottage as comfortable as possible to ensure you enjoy your stay.

The house is part of the utopian vision of Saltaire created by Sir Titus to create a community village to house and support the mill workers.
