Morattico is the sweetest little village filled with friendly neighbors & an amazing waterfront museum. Walk across the street to our shared river porch, fish in the Rappahannock River or walk down the road to a shared beach and pier access where you can kayak and swim in Lancaster Creek. Fenced yard. Outdoor shower. Wifi. Sleeps 7.

We are thrilled to host guests at the newly renovated Water's Edge Cottage -- a serene oasis offering what may be the best views on the Potomac. The rural charm of St. Mary’s County is among Maryland’s best kept secrets -- 90 minutes but a world away from Washington DC (with no Bay Bridge traffic!). We are near historic Leonardtown, boasting one of Maryland’s few remaining town squares (we affectionately call it “Mayberry”). And be sure to visit our sister property, White Point Cottage!

This is a spacious apartment above detached garage, with a roomy balcony. The property sits on the Rappahannock River- guests are welcome to use the beach and dock! Property has a private entrance. The bathroom which is located on the first floor. Apartment is up a flight of stairs above the garage. Plenty of parking. EV charger available. We have self check in and the host is extremely flexible.. We welcome all tenants! The Birds Nest is a perfect getaway destination for relaxing and fun.

Often times in the summer dolphins and their babies visit the creek and river to feed. Paddling or boating with them is one of the best experiences! It is quiet and relaxing - feels like you’re a part of the natural surroundings.

Come down the long private drive along the pasture to the little cottage perched on the banks of the river, surrounded by large oak trees. Its a simple, cozy spot with lots of outdoor spaces for spreading out.
