The river on your doorstep so if you don't swim in it during the summer, you can see how it grows in the winter next to a fireplace as you hear it roar. 90 minutes from Cape Town, nestled between mountain ranges, on the banks of the river, this is a perfect retreat from big city life. Entirely off-grid, this peaceful cottage has two double bedrooms with a spacious open plan lounge, kitchen, dining area and one bathroom comprising a large shower, toilet and basin. An expansive stoep overlooking the river with BBQ facilities. Enjoy river activities, fishing,mountain hikes, bird watching, star gazing and a cosy indoor fire on cold evenings.

Private stand-alone cottage on a beautiful farm 1.5 hours north of Cape town and 30-40 minutes from Elands Bay. This is a very simple, off-grid, self-catering cottage with beautiful mountain views, a dam to swim in and hiking access to the entire 2000 hectare farm. The farm has established hiking and mountain biking trails, horse riding on request and established sport and trad rock climbing routes. The cottage has two fireplaces, a gas stove, fridge, a gas geyser and solar power.
