The cottage is surrounded by the magnificent Red Cuillins and Bla Bheinn (Blaven) Ridge.

Despite its privacy, once back on the road, many of Skye's natural and manmade wonders are within 20 mins, including the Fairy Pools, Neist Point & Dunvegan Castle, with the Storr, Quirang and Portree also within driving distance.

The Crofter's House, Isle of Skye

The cottage sleeps 3, but is ideal for couples seeking a romantic break, as well as for sight-seeing, walking and climbing.

Opened in January 2020, the Gate Lodge is a charming octagon with plenty of original character. Warm and well-equipped, it has been completely renovated and sits within the grounds of a working conservation farm. Strictly No Smoking. An original Skye Croft House, overlooking Loch Harport with views to the Cuillins. Its just a three minute drive from the village of Carbost with its “Old Inn” pub, restaurant and trad music sessions, the “Cafe Cuil” restaurant, a coffee shop, the “Talisker Distillery” with its tours and it’s off shoot “Three Chimneys at Talisker” The house is furnished with my mix of old with the modern & of course the essential log stove for chilly nights
