Southend is perfect for fishing, sailing, swimming or just lazing on the beach. A surf beach is situated between Southend and Beachport. Southend has a small shop that is licensed and sells basic groceries. It has a takeaway fish and chip shop open weekends (6 days during summer).There is a local community club open weekends (open for meals in summer).Restaurants and other shopping is available in Beachport and Millicent, both a short drive away. We would like to stress this property is our own beach house. It is not resort standard accommodation. There isn't any air conditioning only fans and basic heating. Our pricing reflects this. It should be viewed as a comfortable base for exploring the area and other activities : fishing, boating, surfing and 4 wheel driving.

Adela Cottage is a centrally located character home near the Rail Lands Precinct with its walking and bicycle tracks. We are a ten minute walk to the main street, shopping, cafes/restaurants and a five minute drive to the beautiful Blue Lake. Adela Cottage has central heating and ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room.

With the beach at your doorstep it's impossible not to feel relaxed as soon as you arrive. Main shopping is at Mount Gambier, but Carpenters Rocks general store is 2 minutes away. For those travelling with your fur families, we are happy to welcome house trained pets.
