한옥민박 우경당(耦耕堂/WookyeongDang) 백운산 자락에 위치한 전통한옥

WELCOME- 광양 백운산 자락의 호젓한 한옥마을에 위치한 한옥민박 "우경당"입니다. 철강업 관련 회사에서 40년 가까이 재직하다 정년퇴임 후 백운산이 올려다 보이는 산자락에 집을 지어 아내와 살고 있습니다. 서로 같이 도와가며 노력한다는 의미로 택호를 "우경당"으로 정했습니다. 처음 한옥을 지을때 타지에 있는 딸과 아들, 손주들이 가끔씩이라도 쉬어갈 수 있도록 쉼 공간을 넉넉히 두었습니다. 우경당의 마당은 작고 소박합니다. 우리네 전통조경인 세한삼우를 떠올리며 작은 묘목부터 하나하나 가꾸고 있습니다. 대문의 문간채에는 호호 웃다보면 서로가 좋아 진다는 의미에서 '호호루(好互樓)'라고 이름붙인 2층누마루(다락방) 만들었습니다 (냉난방 않됨). 호호루에서 마시는 한 잔의 차에는 앞산과 뒷산의 소박한 풍경이 담겨있습니다. 저희 집은 민박을 전문적으로 하는 집은 아닙니다. 서툴고 부족한 점이 많겠지만 우경당을 방문하는 손님들이 편안하게 쉬어갈 수 있도록 마음을 다하고자 합니다.
