The Wee House on the Hill is a perfect retreat for a relaxing get away. Country walks straight from the door or a short stroll down into Wirksworth, an ancient market town steeped in history. The cottage is located in one of the oldest parts of Wirksworth, where miners cottages were randomly built around the hillside with a unique maze of paths and 'ginnels' (alleyways). Tudor Cottage would have been the brewhouse, the brewhouse was used for baking and cheese making as well as brewing This lovely old stone cottage has been recently renovated and independently attached to Tudor House, which is one of the oldest buildings in Brassington, the cottage is situated in Matlock.
