Bessie, our retro horse lorry

Bessie is the perfect getaway tailored for couples to enjoy the tranquil surrounding countryside with lovely walks and great cycling along the towpath of the adjacent Kennet & Avon Canal. Two pubs are within a short stroll for a leisurely lunch or evening out and on the way past why not pop in and say hi to our sociable pygmy goats. Explore the may pretty villages nearby, the beautiful city of Bath is only 16 miles distant and prehistoric wonders such as Stonehenge and Avebury are close by.

Jeannie's Cottage

Nestled between historic Lacock and Georgian Bath, Jeannie's Cottage is located on Church Walk close to Melksham's town centre. This pretty street is one of Melksham's hidden gems, regularly winning prizes in ‘Melksham in Bloom’ contests. It is steeped in history and part of the town's conservation area. Dating from the late 18th Century, Jeannie's Cottage is Grade II listed and affords two storeys, two bedroom accommodation and has the benefit of an enclosed rear walled courtyard garden.

The North Transept

The North Transept is part of our converted Victorian Gothic church. We've done all the conversion ourselves - the high ceilings and beautiful Gothic windows make it a unique space. It's in a small hamlet in a beautiful hidden valley surrounded by fields; there's lovely walking from the door and lots of local wildlife including roe and muntjac deer, pheasants, red kites and owls. It's easy to get to a wide range of local attractions like Lacock and Avebury and only half an hour to Bath.

The perfect family friendly retreat. Recently restored this pretty Georgian detached wharf cottage set within an acre of idyllic gardens abutting the beautiful Kennet and Avon canal. The Willows is a beautiful detached 3 bed home set in half an acre of countryside with a private hot tub (can be used all year round). There is plenty of parking and the home was newly built in 2021. Fully private with a gated driveway. Large open plan living with a kitchen diner and bifold doors at each side of the living area. Located in the village of Seend, in walking distance to the Kennett and Avon canal and several pubs. Ideally situated to drive to Bath, Lacock or Castle Combe.

Pigsty Cottage is a very spacious apartment within the grounds of a listed Georgian farmhouse, its a lovely private place to stay. Well equipped, with a top quality kingsize bed and secure parking. A Lovely rural location, stunning gardens. Great for visits to Bath, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Amesbury and Devizes. We do allow a well behaved pet. If you’re planning on bringing a pet, we’d like to know in advance as we make some small changes to the furnishings accordingly.

Roomy base in the centre of town

A few minutes' level walk to Melksham town center, bus stops, pubs and shops while being totally secluded. Bedroom has clothes storage, dressing table & workspace. The living room has a single sofa bed, TV, dining table, fridge, microwave and kettle plus there's a large shower room & toilet making it a self-contained base for any visitor. Room has off-street parking, its own entrance and, if cycling, we can find somewhere safe and dry to store the bikes.
