Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

The Getaway

Forget your worries in this gorgeous 4,000 sq ft home hidden between Prairie du Chien and Wauzeka, Wi. Indoor fun including Big Screen TVs, cards, board games, pool table, shuffleboard, foosball! Outdoor fun includes basketball, frisbee and cornhole! Grill out, sit around the fire ring, and simply enjoy your time here! UTV routes, snowmobile trails and backroads all around the area. 12 minutes from Prairie du Chien and the beach. Indoor Boat Storage. (STRONG WIFI CONNECTION/WIFI CALLING)

Welcome to Hooks and Honkers Hideout - your cozy riverside retreat tucked along the beautiful Mississippi River. This 2-bedroom getaway is perfect for couples or small groups looking to unwind, cast a line, or gear up for a duck hunt. Wake up to misty mornings, sip coffee with bluff views, and spend your day fishing the legendary waters or exploring the surrounding wild. After the hunt or a day on the river, come back to a warm and peaceful space where you can relax, recharge, and reconnect!

Cozy Cabin by the Pond

Quiet, private country location to relax and unwind. 9 miles west of Dubuque, close to Wineries, Heritage Trail, Sundown Mountain Resort. Cozy cabin and quarter acre pond. Sun yourself on the patio, or nap in the shade of the covered porch. We're sure you will love this space as much as we do. Not suitable for children under 12, we strictly enforce no children and no pets. Outdoor relaxing space, gas grill. Fully stocked cabin, with breakfast items included for you to enjoy at your leisure.

Old Mission Road House - A Home Away from Home

This is a newly built house with full kitchen. All dishes, pans and linens are supplied. There are 3 queen size bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms , washer and dryer. Flat screen TVs access to WIFI in the kitchen and in the loft area and also in each bedroom. Fully air conditioned. Front and back patio with chairs and table, grill and fire pit with wood supplied. Backbone State Park is three miles away. A great area for trout streams, hunting , hiking , golfing and snowmobling in the winter.

Unplug and get back to nature

The log cabin was built as a place to unwind, relax, and truly unplug. Nestled among 15 acres of rolling hills, the cabin can serve as a place to hunker down and read three novels, or a home base for hiking, cycling and putting the nature back in your life. Be advised, there is NO television and that’s for good reason. Cook, drink, eat, play, relax and refresh yourself. Wake up to the songs of birds and listen to the owls at night while you’re warming yourself around a bonfire.
