The Cabin is on a small croft/farm and lies within its own garden. The Cabin has a maritime theme, free wifi, plenty of books & maps and a well provided kitchen. The Waternish peninsula offers abundant wildlife, and in the hamlet of Stein, next to the sea, a lovely old pub and a Michelin starred restaurant .

The Red Fox Retreat is the ultimate luxury glamping getaway location. A twist on the more conventional ‘pod’, the cabin features a curved wood interior entered from an arched doorway in front of which is situated a perfectly appointed king sized bed with amazing views of the Trottenish Ridge and the croft (farmland) that surrounds the property. Otternish Pods on North Uist are situated on a working croft and are ideally located for exploring the islands. 1 mile from Berneray ferry terminal and 10 miles from Lochmaddy. Each pod is open plan with a kitchenette, seating dining, sleeping area and shower room. 3/4 bed and sofa-bed provides accommodation for up to 4. It is ideal for 2,If there are 4 adults you may feel it rather small. Bedding and towels are provided. Heating, TV and WiFi all add to a warm comfortable stay.

Our cabin has 2 bedrooms with 2 double beds, and a large open plan living space with kitchen. We are 10 minutes from Tarbert and 30 mins from the west side beaches. A wood burning stove will keep you warm in the evenings. A large wrap around balcony is lovely for sitting outside and watching the seals and otters in the bay.
