Secluded small farm house nestled in among maple, apple and pine trees. Lots of parking for trailers and guests. Wood burning Sauna on property. Just a short walk down the hill is our Private rock beach On Lake Superior with a fire pit to get cozy and watch the sunset. The main cabin also has a fire pit for your enjoyment. This is a quiet place with whitetail deer being the only thing to come and visit. Occasionally you’ll see bald eagles fly overhead looking for their dinner. Walking trails.

Located on Portage Lake in Chassell, MI, near Houghton with quick access to Michigan Tech University, this rustic family cabin is a great place for either an overnight stay or a longer getaway. It provides a great home base for travel in the Keweenaw peninsula! As a 1930s cabin with a sauna on the lake along with a great view, the focus is on the experience! We find guests who truly enjoy our place are flexible with rustic conditions (not looking for Holiday Inn Express) and young at heart!

NO CLEANING OR PET FEES! Our peaceful cabin is located directly on Lake Superior and now has a sauna! We have water toys for the kids to enjoy as they swim, and there are 4 kayaks and a canoe, plus a stand up paddleboard available to use. We are close to hiking, fishing, boating, waterfalls, and other outdoor adventures. In the winter, you are close to snowmobile trails, and have direct lake access for ice fishing to catch walleye and pike. Ice fishing gear can be provided if requested.

Dock your boat at the nearby marina and explore the lake or use the 2 kayaks/1 canoe that you can launch from the house. If you don’t want to leave the house there’s plenty to do with 235’ of private lakeshore, ping pong, corn hole, bumper pool, board games or enjoy a lakeside fire.

Relax with friends and family at this peaceful cozy cabin. A perfect 4 seasons cabin on a the ravine river. Enjoy steelhead trout fishing, walking in the woods, winter sports ect. Near Lake Superior. This Baraga House has a view of Keweenaw Bay from the back porch and steps away to Larry's Market grocery store from the backyard. Cue Master Bar and Grill and the American Legion Bar and Grill (open to the public) are located just steps away also. Very convenient for travelers to the Keweenaw Peninsula, just a block off of U.S. Hwy 41. Irene's Pizza and the Ojibwa Casino in Baraga are just minutes away.
