Guest house on Historic Farm

The Wooster family farmhouse was built at the head of Crockett Cove in 1843. The guest house is the residence available for rental weekly from Sunday to Sunday. Built in 1964, it faces south with a lovely water view and summer breeze. One can hear the reversing falls at all times except high tide when you can slip over the falls and kayak in the conserved natural area, with the largest salt marsh on the island. There are Ospreys, Eagles, Herons, Eiders, Guillemots, Kingfishers in the area.

Our converted barn has been lovingly refinished with local pine wide-plank floors, reclaimed clawfoot tub/shower/sinks and old wooden doors. A fully stocked kitchen will allow you to whip up a hardy breakfast before you set out to explore all of what the south shore has to offer. Enjoy local cuisine, charming coffee shops, boutiques, galleries or relax at the beach, all just a few minutes away.

The Red House Barn Apartment

Great Cranberry Island is accessible by passenger-only ferry. Leave car in space provided in NE Harbor. Island car provided for trans. of luggage on arrival and departure and when other trans is not available. 2nd floor apt over art studio. (Barn is 120 ft away from the 2 units in the Red House.) 1 BR, queen bed, full kit,large living room and loft ,WiFi, direct TV, views of fields and ocean-new deck w. grill, The following items shared with 2 house units: fire pit, lobster cooker, 9 bikes.

The 200+ year old converted barn is on the ocean 5 minutes from the village of Chester. The Barn offers the perfect get away to recharge in peace and quiet or an easy launch pad for everything the South Shore has to offer. Wake up to views of the ocean. Enjoy your coffee on the deck. Walk down to the rocky beach and have a morning dip (if you dare!). Ideal for families with lots of space to explore. We live in a separate house on the property and are here to help make your stay enjoyable!

The apartment sits over Salt Water Farm Cooking School, a small recreational cooking school for home cooks.
