Our private, pet friendly location (3 acres) is the perfect base for exploring Central VI. Feeling adventurous? You could ski, surf, golf, bike and hike all in one day! If not so ambitious, enjoy a day of sight seeing, exploring local beaches, snuggle up by the fireplace. Or, better yet, grab a blanket and stargaze on the private patio with propane fireplace and roast marshmallows. Whatever you decide to do, 'The Chalet' is the perfect place to unwind and truly let Island Life invite you in.

Welcome to Nanoose Bay on Vancouver Island. We are located on a quiet rural area with a beach access road right across the street! It's a short stroll to go down and enjoy the view. The best accesses for entry to the water are just a short walk away also. This is a large 2 room suite in our home completely self contained for privacy. Self check in with designated parking spot for you. We are hosts on site if you need anything. We are located between Nanaimo and Parksville, 15 min. either way.

The Trincomali Hideaway Oceanfront Yurt

This luxurious oceanfront yurt is hidden in an ancient cedar grove providing privacy and an amazing backdrop to its unprecedented ocean front setting. Enjoy full privacy in the well-stocked cottage while enjoying the tranquility of rural life close to town. The cottage is 4 minutes away from a major grocery store and Oceanside Arena. We are very close to the famous Parksville beaches and the highway to Tofino.

We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.
