Close to Echo Bay which has a post office, one restaurant, land mark giant Loonie, and nature boardwalk, and now ice cream vendor. 40km from Sault Ste Marie - locks to watch the big ships pass, lock tours, beautiful boardwalk, shopping, fall colours, Agawa Canyon tour train, or check out St Joseph's Island. Lake Superior Chippewa Retreat, Batchawana Bay

The location is at the mouth of the Chippewa River and Lake Superior. The property has one house on 60 acres with 2 km of shoreline on the lake and the river and 3 km trails inside the property. There are no neighbors. The house is 1,800 sq ft. It has a wooden interior, patio towards river, a screened porch towards lake with three hammock chairs, a large and protected fire-pit, and a separate Finnish sauna by the river. Property is equally suited for Spring, Summer and Fall activities.

Because of our unique location we are on a major flight path for northern migrating birds. We are along the sacred Goulais River, which is home to many different fish species all making their way to Lake Superior. This is some of the best fishing in the world. We also offer kayak and canoes to rent to explore the river.
