Located at the top of Scotland you'll enjoy one of the best views in the area - even the locals are envious! One mile off the popular NC500 tourist route, our two pods and a Shepherd's Hut offer peace and quiet in an idyllic location with some amazing sunrises, sunsets and starry skies.

The Hide - off-grid-ish woodland cabin near NC500

The Hide is a super get-away for anyone travelling around Scotland on the NC500 or on your own adventure looking for a unique stay. Almost off-grid, it has a comfy bed, central woodburner and spectacular view. It's the perfect stepping stone towards the full off-grid experience, intended for people who are curious about living the off-grid lifestyle but also like to be able to charge their phone, boil a kettle and have a hot shower! Torran Cottage is nestled within a UNESCO World Heritage Site - The Flow Country! Whilst superbly modernised throughout, the cottage retains its original features, including wonderful flagstone flooring, deep-silled windows set into thick stone walls, and a large wood burner for cosy evenings. The views from the hot tub and gardens are unbelievable. Panoramic vistas look east to Morven and the Scarabens, south to Ben Klibreck and west to distant views of Ben Loyal and Ben Hope.

Bespoke made self catering cabin

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Perfectly situated in the open countryside beside the A99 and on the popular NC500 route, our cabin boasts beautiful views out to the North sea. Our cabin can comfortably sleep 2 adults and 2 children with a double bed and double sofa bed. It has a fully equipped kitchen area containing a over, hob, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster and kettle, and has a separate bathroom with toilet, sink and power shower.

BERRISCUE HOUSE - ENTIRE COTTAGE - THURSO

Berriscue House is a beautiful, bespoke cottage - located in the centre of Thurso, hidden away from the world with a large walled garden and private entrance. Five minute walk from the beach. Everything you need for a cosy Scottish retreat! If booking the same day after 6pm please message as it may still be possible to book. If you require the extra bed in the living room, you must tell us in your initial message so we know to prepare this for you.

Cathel's Cottage - Outstanding Views

Cosy remote cottage on the North coast with beautiful views of the Orkney Isles from the front door. Perfectly situated for exploring Sutherland to the West and Caithness to the East. The cottage consists of a kitchen/ livingroom on the ground floor with a double bedroom and separate bathroom (shower only) up stairs. Access by spiral stairs. Our self catering lodges have 2 bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 3 people in each. Celtic Lodges are perfectly located in the north of Scotland, right on the famous NC500 route between Thurso (11.5 miles) and John O’Groats (7.5 miles). Caithness remains a largely unspoiled and undeveloped county ringed, to the north and east by dramatic coastal scenery.
